About Us

The City of Charleston’s Southern Marlins Racing Team (SMRT) is known throughout the area as a first class year-round competitive swimming program.  We offer a guided age group program for children age five and up, and can accommodate all levels from learn-to-swim programs into competition at the local, state, zone and national levels.  When a young person becomes a member of SMRT, we try to teach them the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.

SMRT’s coaching staff constantly works with every swimmer to improve their skills and endurance as a competitive athlete.  Our program helps to provide physical, emotional, and intellectual skills that will last a lifetime.
